During my time in education I have studied many computer-orientated modules e.g. Computer aided design, web design using Photoshop, Fireworks, Flash, Dreamweaver and Director, web development using VBScript, ASP, HTML, and JavaScript and programming using Visual Basic and Java.

I am proficient with all the following Integrated Development Environments: Macromedia Studio (Dreamweaver,Fireworks,Free Hand and Flash), Eclipse, Blue Fish, Microsoft Visual Basic, Visual Interdev.

I currently use and administer the following operating systems: Linux (Fedora and Gentoo),Windows XP and Mac OSX.

I have hosted and administered IRC (Internet Relay Chat) rooms and currently run my own forums including: Smallville (the tv show) and an Introductory motorcycle club. I am also the moderator for a Linux technical help forum and chat room.

My recent personal projects have included a lottery generator, Smallville website, and ongoing development on a Motorcycle website (payment in lessons).

Professional experience
2006 TS4B, Middlesbrough During my time here; my job involved web development. The work involved designing custom applications for customers; updating existing sites, and adding new functions. I have also undertaken an engineering role when needed and carried out, RJ45 cabling, setting up networking using domain, and configured Windows Server 2003.
 
2005 FemaleFirst, Ashton-in-malerfield, Wigan During my time here; my job involved web development and administrating the forum. The web development involved adding new functionality to the main online magazine website as well as fixing existing issues and creating new web sites. One of the new sites I worked on was a simple Mobile website for mobile phone access. The websites were all developed in PHP and XHTML against a MySQL database.
 
2003 Odyssey-Studio, Middlesbrough I was a self employed web designer running my own business. Whilst running my own business I produced bespoke websites. The main project I worked on was creating an external website and intranet for a Doctors surgery. These websites were written using PHP, JavaScript and SQL.
 
2002 Langridge Initiative Centre Middlesbrough Whilst doing volunteer work at the Langridge Initiative Centre I modinised their current website improving the navigation. I also created a non Framed version of the existing website. I worked here for 2 months until the project was complete.
 
1997 KTV (keldholme Television) Middlesbrough During my final year of school I worked here 1 day a week (day release). My work entailed professional video editing.
 
1996 ICI in Wilton Redcar I worked here for 2 weeks during my school work experience as part of a large team carrying out different experiments.
 
1995 Cleveland Youth Arts Middlesbrough Here I worked as a volunteer for 1 month helping other young people create their own films and teaching them how to edit them.


Other Information
I have a full clean driving license and am fluent in sign language.
I have my own PC network at home consisting of 4 computers with Windows 2000 professional, Windows XP Professional, OS X and Linux operating systems.

Interests and activities
In my spare time I like to design websites using Adobe Photoshop and Macromedia Dreamweaver. I also used to run my own chat room. I enjoy going out for a walks and playing basketball.
